About Daniel Moesker

Daniel Moesker is an inspirational Dutch jewelry designer who, from a very young age, knew he wanted to be involved in creating and designing jewellery from gemstones and precious metals.

Born into a family of jewelers, Daniel began working in jewellery at the age of 12. By 15, he began to realise his dream of making small interesting pieces of jewellery, using the tools and techniques he had learned from his parents and grandparents, all of whom were involved in the jewellery business.

The love of jewellery has been in Daniel’s family since 1938, when his great-grandfather founded a silver factory in the Dutch town Schoonhoven, renowned as the city of silver. In 1963, Daniel’s grandparents started a jewellery store named Veenstra Juweliers in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. In 2005, Daniel’s mother officially took over the business and decided to build an atelier behind the store, from where it all took off.

The same town where Daniels great-grandfather established his factory is where Daniel began his formal goldsmith education in 2006. During the final phase of his education at the Vakschool, the Dutch school for jewellers, he started an internship at the internationally renowned jeweller Hingelberg in Arhus, Denmark, where he completed his education and passed his masterpiece test. After gaining experience and insight into Danish design and craftsmanship, Daniel moved to Florence, Italy, to study gemstones and gem setting at Scuola Perseo, one of Italy's most prestigious jewellery schools. There, he learned the techniques for setting fine diamonds and gemstones and the way the Italian master jewellers work.

The moment he moved back home from Florence to the Netherlands in 2010, he officially launched his company, Daniel Moesker Jewellery. He began creating small collections and bespoke pieces, which quickly attracted an international clientele. From the outset, his jewellery has been featured at major events such as the Tucson Gem Show, International Jewellery London, and Inhorgenta Munich, and is sold by a select number of jewellery retailers worldwide.
